[8u60] Request for approval: Backport of 8074869(S)

I would like to request the backport of the fix for JDK-8074869 to 8u60.

Unfortunately, the fix does not apply cleanly because aarch64 is not 
available in 8u60. All other changes apply to the 8u60 tree.
