The change cleanly applies to 8u. Nightly testing showed no problems.

I tested the patch applied to jdk8u-dev with:
- JPRT (testset hotspot), all tests pass;
- locally (linux-x64) executed all hotspot tests, all tests pass that 
pass with an unmodified VM.
