It should translate, however :-). If I were to buy an Oracle server, I
would expect Oracle software to run on it.

Which can also be fixed by additional patches. I also don't see why this
is an argument to fix existing issues. They live inside the
linux_sparc subfolder and therefore don't affect the release
architectures. So, merging the fixes won't hurt, but it makes the work
for downstream Linux distributions easier.
