ParallelGCThreads needed with UseConcMarkSweepGC and UseParNewGC combination?

is the -XX:ParallelGCThreads option applicable with the ParNew + CMS combination?  (-XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+UseParNewGC)

or is the use of ParallelGCThreads strictly for UseParallelGC (Parallel Scavenge)?
