Hi,

I'm looking at log entries that look like this. I don't have direct access to the system in question but I've been told it has duel Xeon's (quad core?)

 CMS: abort preclean due to time 2010-06-25T03:55:18.231+0000: 38972.106: [CMS-concurrent-abortable-preclean: 4.921/5.001 secs] [Times: user=17.02 sys=2.99, real=5.00 secs]

so 17.02 / 8 + 2.99 ~= 5.1

and

252323.654: [GC 252323.654: [ParNew: 887367K->70201K(921600K), 0.3279880 secs] 2857144K->2050099K(8286208K), 0.3280890 secs] [Times: user=2.56 sys=1.61, real=0.33 secs]

First one I'm thinking rounding error or something like that but.. the second one makes no sense at all. The log is filled with records that look like case #2.

Regards,
Kirk
