Sure, but if the people we have don't have the time to fill out the
implementation on other platforms, then uniform support on all
platforms isn't possible.

In an increasingly heterogeneous community it's inevitable that some
platforms will be attended to first because you have to start
somewhere.  This is a consequence of more people doing different
things on more platforms; it's not a bad thing, it's a mark of the
success of OpenJDK.
