The bug looks valid :) Thanks for tracking this down. I filed
https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8033545 for it for now.

Let me take some time to look at other similar code for the same problem
before sending out a formal review.

Btw, is the email address correct? Ie. for the contribution line. It
seems to miss an 's'?
