Expose liveset to application

Hello! We would like to be aware of the liveset size in the application. In zgc, we have this log line for it in the gc.log:
[info][gc,heap ] GC(0) Live: - 31M (0%) 31M (0%) 31M (0%)
Would it be possible to expose this to the application (a suggestion would be in the GarbageCollectionNotificationInfo that the GarbageCollectorMXBean can notify)? We would like to improve our application monitoring, but without tailing or parsing the logfiles.
We would be interested in this for both ZGC and G1.
Thanks!
