PermSize was not set until now. I try this setting and can report

I have no information about this. I guess a heap dump would provide that
information. I will ask our admins if it is possible to take a heap dump.

Yes, that is the original output of the GC. No lines were removed.

CMS seems to behave better (see attached gc.log). The settings used with
CMS are:
-Xmx10000M
-Xms1024M
-XX:MaxPermSize=1024m
-XX:+PrintGCDateStamps
-XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC

Unfortunately I have no simple test case. The output is from our life
system running a tomcat with various wars deployed.
