ParNew 4x slower under 1.7 vs 1.6?

I am guessing a comparison of the gc log 7 vs 6 that Andrew sent in
his first email on this thread might already provide useful info.
But of course a comparison of logs where only the JVM has been swapped
would probably be better and would provide
a lot of the kind of inforation you are seeking. Good point about the
extra info from class histogram
(+PrintClassHistogram{Before,After}GC).
