Extending class data sharing.

I am interested in working to extend class data sharing.

I am curious about why it is not supported for the server VM. Is it a
policy decission, or is it too complicated?

My main interest is to extend class data sharing to classes outside
the bootclasspath (and, or course, to the server VM). Do you think
that this is a good thing? Have been there any previous attempts?
