Thank you so much for submitting a patch.

I hope it makes you happy to know that this has just recently  been  
fixed - via bug 6788376.
This was fixed in hotspot 15 build 02, so you can find the fix in the  
jdk7 open source repository.
The changes included globals.hpp and arguments.cpp in case you ever  
want to make a
similar change in the future.
