RFR(S): 8143324 - Backout JDK-8087223

Hi Karen,

The backout was clean and I've manually diffed the files with the file
revisions before 8087223 to verify that it cleanly reverts the change. 

The defmeth and the jdk test will have the same result as before 8087223, we
did not see any failures in the nightly testing yesterday.
