Why is fork1() exported from hotspot?

Hi,
thanks for looking this up!
I think the code just shuffled around the pre-existing fork1() definition
and added an JNIEXPORT.
But in the older version, there is a comment about green threads in the JDK:
-/**
- * NOTE: the following code is to keep the green threads code
- * in the libjava.so happy. Once the green threads is removed,
- * these code will no longer be needed.
- */
-....
-int
-fork1() {
- return fork();
-}
-
I do not think JDK uses green threads anymore.
Kind Regards, Thomas
