The main use of the time-stamp is to be able to correlate the time the diagnostic command was run, with the time of other events captured in other logs. So for that you would want compatible/comparable timestamps. As I mentioned previously UL has different timestamp formats, so be able to match those may be of benefit. Though I could also see that as being a future enhancement once we see how the basic wall-clock timestamp is received.
