JSR 396 (Java SE 21): JEP Proposed to Target: 430: String Templates (Preview)

The following JEP with scope "SE" has been proposed to target JDK 21:

  430: String Templates (Preview)

  Summary: Enhance the Java programming language with string templates.
  String templates complement Java's existing string literals and text
  blocks by coupling literal text with embedded expressions and template
  processors to produce specialized results.  This is a preview language
  feature and API.

The announced deadline for feedback to jdk-dev is Thu 13 Apr 23:59 UTC:

If there are no unresolved objections at that time, then the JEP will be moved
to the Targeted state, indicating that the feature is expected to appear in
the specified release of the JDK Project.  For more information about states,
