JSR 391 (Java SE 16): JEP Propose to Target: 397: Sealed Classes (Second Preview)

The following JEP with scope "SE" has been proposed to target JDK 16:

  397: Sealed Classes (Second Preview)

  Summary: Enhance the Java programming language with sealed classes and
  interfaces. Sealed classes and interfaces restrict which other classes
  or interfaces may extend or implement them.

The announced deadline for feedback to jdk-dev is Tue 1 Dec 23:59 UTC:

If there are no unresolved objections at that time, then the JEP will be moved
to the Targeted state, indicating that the feature is expected to appear in
