RFC: Draft JEP : A Java 2D Metal API based rendering pipeline for macOS

Hello all,

I am sending notification to this mailing list to get wider visibility 
and provide opportunity for
comments on the draft JEP [1] to "Implement a Java 2D internal rendering 
pipeline for macOS using
the Apple Metal APIs as an alternative to the deprecated Apple OpenGL APIs".

We expect to move it to the submitted state very soon, so please add any 
comments you
may have to the JEP - or send them to the Project Lanai [2] mailing list 
[3].
