It might be a bit premature to nominate Simon as Committer to the "JDK" 
project as there isn't a history of significant contributions just yet. 
Sponsoring changes is a pain but if Simon can build up contributions in 
the few next few weeks/months then it would make it much easier to 
re-run this vote.
