Hi,

Could anyone please see if JDK-8161684 can be opened?

It seems to be a simple hunk:
   https://github.com/openjdk/jdk/commit/c02b75705fa2ffe9825f65d6dd671a0e7ea473ef

I would like to backport it to at least 11u to enable -XX:+VerifyOops testing there, but having the 
non-public issue makes the backporting red tape more tedious than it can be.
