JEP proposed to target JDK 18: 416: Reimplement Core Reflection with Method Handles

The following JEP is proposed to target JDK 18:

  416: Reimplement Core Reflection with Method Handles
       https://openjdk.java.net/jeps/416

  Summary: Reimplement java.lang.reflect.Method, Constructor, and Field
  on top of java.lang.invoke method handles.  Making method handles the
  underlying mechanism for reflection will reduce the maintenance and
  development cost of both the java.lang.reflect and java.lang.invoke
  APIs.

Feedback on this proposal from JDK Project Committers and Reviewers [1]
is more than welcome, as are reasoned objections.  If no such objections
are raised by 23:59 UTC on Tuesday, 26 October, or if they’re raised
and then satisfactorily answered, then per the JEP 2.0 process proposal
[2] I’ll target this JEP to JDK 18.
