Subject: CFV: New JDK Committer: Tyler Steele
Hi,

I hereby nominate Tyler Steele to JDK Committer.

Tyler works for IBM and he has taken responsibility for the AIX OS. He has already contributed 10 changes to the jdk repository [1].

One of his changes was quite complex:

https://github.com/openjdk/jdk/commit/c0275e18b7cb4a01385b79ced46560322aeacc97

Some other ones are small but were not easy to find or require good knowledge of the VM and how the tests work.

I guess such changes will be typical for his role.

In addition, he’s contributing to the jdk-updates projects focusing on AIX. He has also helped to review and test PPC64 and s390 changes.

Votes are due by Tuesday, 24 May 2022 at 09:00 UTC.

Only current JDK Committers [2] are eligible to vote on this nomination. Votes must be cast in the open by replying to this mailing list.

For Lazy Consensus voting instructions, see [3].

Best regards,

Martin
