Although the search took longer than anticipated, we found someone whose
primary focus until at least July 2025 will be improving OpenJDK on
FreeBSD.

Thank you to everyone who responded off-list, especially the developers
who generously shared tips and advice to help us start off on the right
foot.

Any future posts about the project should be technical questions or
updates.
