Gerard is a member of the HotSpot runtime team at Oracle. He has contributed to many areas of the VM, often having a focus on OS X enhancements. He is currently working on enhancements to Native Memory Tracking (NMT). He has contributed over 100 changes [3] to the HotSpot JVM over the past 9 years, and reviewed over 100 changes in the runtime area since 2020.
