I've been thinking the same. Thanks for confirming that it's a viable
approach.

Yeah, we really would like to see support for FreeBSD in GitHub Actions.

I'm not sure yet, but in any case I doubt I'll go for enything older
than jdk21. My focus is on the main jdk branch.
