CFV: New JDK Committer: Kelvin Nilsen

I hereby nominate Kelvin Nilsen (openjdk: kdnilsen, github:kdnilsen) to JDK Committer.

At time of writing, Kelvin [0] is an Author on the jdk project and a Committer on the shenandoah project.

Kelvin is currently a Principal Engineer with the OpenJDK Corretto team at Amazon. He has authored over 10 commits directly to the JDK repository [1]. He has led the Generational Shenandoah project [2] at Amazon, and has been deeply involved in its original inception, design, implementation, and performance improvements. In addition to his direct commits to the JDK repository, Kelvin has authored nearly 100 commits to the Generational Shenandoah project [3] prior to its integration into tip. He has resolved over 30 JBS issues [4], pertaining to Shenandoah and GenShen.

Prior to his current role at Amazon, Kelvin started his career as an assistant professor of computer science, following a Ph.D. at the University of Arizona. He has collaborated with NIST on an extension of Java to real-time, consulted with the Expert Group for RTSJ, and designed & implemented JVMs for real-time systems.
