The following JEP is proposed to target JDK 25:

  506: Scoped Values
       https://openjdk.org/jeps/506

Summary: Introduce scoped values, which enable a method to share
immutable data both with its callees within a thread, and with child
threads. Scoped values are easier to reason about than thread-local
variables. They also have lower space and time costs, especially when
used together with virtual threads (JEP 444) and structured concurrency
  (JEP 505).

Feedback on this proposal from JDK Project Committers and Reviewers [1]
is more than welcome, as are reasoned objections. If no such objections
are raised by 18:00 UTC on Thursday, 15 May, or if they’re raised and
then satisfactorily answered, then per the JEP 2.0 process proposal [2]
I’ll target this JEP to JDK 25.
