JEP proposed to target JDK 25: 515: Ahead-of-Time Method Profiling

The following JEP is proposed to target JDK 25:

  515: Ahead-of-Time Method Profiling

  Summary: Improve warmup time by making method-execution profiles from
  a previous run of an application instantly available, when the HotSpot
  Java Virtual Machine starts.  This will enable the JIT compiler to
  generate native code immediately upon application startup, rather than
  having to wait for profiles to be collected.

Feedback on this proposal from JDK Project Committers and Reviewers [1]
is more than welcome, as are reasoned objections.  If no such objections
are raised by 19:00 UTC on Thursday, 22 May, or if they’re raised and
then satisfactorily answered, then per the JEP 2.0 process proposal [2]
I’ll target this JEP to JDK 25.
