The following JEP is proposed to target JDK 26:

524: PEM Encodings of Cryptographic Objects (Second Preview)
       https://openjdk.org/jeps/524

Summary: Introduce an API for encoding objects that represent
cryptographic keys, certificates, and certificate revocation lists into
the widely-used Privacy-Enhanced Mail (PEM) transport format, and for
decoding from that format back into objects. This is a preview API.

Feedback on this proposal from JDK Project Committers and Reviewers [1]
is more than welcome, as are reasoned objections. If no such objections
are raised by 20:00 UTC on Monday, 10 November, or if they’re raised
and then satisfactorily answered, then per the JEP 2.0 process proposal
[2] I’ll target this JEP to JDK 26.
