Right.  <https://adoptopenjdk.net/release_notes.html#jdk8u212> could
mention these tags and link to official tarball(s).  I suspect this page
is the permanent, quasi-official release announcement due to the
openjdk.java.net limitations.

It would also help to have a permanent location *anywhere* which is
compatible with distribution upstream watch files.
