jdk-11.0.9.1+1 downstream semver issues...?

Hi,
OpenJDK even supports more dots.
See also JEP 322: Time-Based Release Versioning [1].
Oracle has released 11.0.8.0.4 VMs etc. [2]
I think this is not easy to change.
(I'm not sure about the wording, is 11.0.9.1 four-dotted or
three-dotted?)
Best regards,
Goetz.

Subject: jdk-11.0.9.1+1 downstream semver issues...?
Hi,
Although not directly an issue for OpenJDK, I thought I would just mention
that some vendors have had issues mapping this release patch due to mapping
problems to "semver" format. A number of the binary packages produced use
semver (https://semver.org/) which does not support a 4 dotted version,
which means having to map this patch in some way and still maintain version
ordering/upgrade path etc.
Not sure what the answer is, but just thought i'd bring the subject up.
Thanks
Andrew
