status of jdk-17 as an LTS release?

I'm trying to find some information about the LTS status of the upcoming jdk-17
release.  The only document I am aware of are slides from Marc Reinhold from a
talk given at FOSDEM, and mentioning of the LTS status for jdk-17 at one of the
jdk developer meetings following the FOSDEMs in 2019 and 2020.

Bootstrapping 16 or 17 from 11 is a bit tedious, therefore I did propose to also
include 16 or 17 into the upcoming Debian release.  17 would be a better choice
if it's an LTS release.
