status of jdk-17 as an LTS release?

Hi Matthias,
Planning for JDK 17 has just started a few weeks ago on
https://openjdk.java.net/projects/jdk/17/
I assume that many distributors of OpenJDK builds expect JDK 17 to
become an LTS release for them, but I wouldn't expect to see it on
official support roadmaps until it's (close to being) released.
