Thanks for the input! I'd like to see other 11u maintainers to chime in too, before I invest time in 
backporting the whole patch chain :)

I realized I should have uploaded the combined patch to demonstrate where the changes are. The 
substantial changes are in stack printing code, which makes the patches low risk. Here it is:
