17u build tags

[Robert Mckenna]

The tags were pushed to the repo post-GA as per usual.

I think it makes sense for the version number change to be the responsibility of the maintainer of the new version.

Hi Rob,

Yes, it would be great if we could see some kind of tags in the
open for future updates repos.  Also, having the change
bumping the version in the open repositories would be
great.  Both would simplify development and improve
testing of the repositories.
