Subject: CFV: New JDK Updates Commiter: Scott Gibbons

I hereby nominate Scott Gibbons (sgibbons)[1] to JDK update Committer.

Scott is a member of the Intel Java team and is a Committer in the mainline JDK project. He’s been contributing to the 22u, 21u, 17u, and 11u updates, with about 23 backports across various JDK releases so far[2]. Making him a JDK Updates Committer would enable him to integrate changes himself, reducing the need for sponsors and increasing his productivity.

Votes are due by 23:59 UTC on Monday, July 15, 2024.

Only current JDK Updates Committers (and above) [3] are eligible to
vote on this nomination.
