Thanks! I already noticed that the debug build has problems. I'm testing with 2nd part of the assertion disabled. [JDK-8288981](https://bugs.openjdk.org/browse/JDK-8288981) may possibly get backported with a future update release. We should enable it again at that point of time.

@rwestrel: Any other suggestion what to do with it, now?
