[BACKPORT] 7150392: Linux build breaks with GCC 4.7 due to unrecognized option

This is the final backport needed to get OpenJDK6 building, this time for the jdk repository.

It applies to OpenJDK6 cleanly, though the patching of some of the files has to be done
manually due to line movement.
