JAXP and JAXWS

Hi all,

On http://openjdk.java.net/projects/jdk7/milestones/ it suggests that
JAXP and JAXWS will be merged from upstream for M4 ('Update the XML
stack'). This doesn't seem to have happened.

I'm guessing this is just a case of no-one having got round to doing
the merge work involved. Is there anything that can be done to help
with this? I know there are some local changes in the OpenJDK
repositories that may need to go in the opposite direction too.

There is very little information on the OpenJDK website about this
merge process, so hopefully doing the merge for JDK7 publicly can
allow it be self-documenting and make things a little more
transparent, which would help in the long run.

Thanks,
