From Marc-Antoine at Perennou.com Wed Jul 25 09:04:06 2012 From: Marc-Antoine at Perennou.com (Marc-Antoine Perennou) Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2012 18:04:06 +0200 Subject: [jdk7-dev] On the build dependency upon gtk+ Message-ID: Hi, With my company, we use a source-based linux distribution, and since we are using Java, we need to build the jdk. Currently, in order to be able to build the jdk, gtk+-2 and cups need to be installed. I think it wouldn't be so hard to make them optional, since not everybody using java needs printing functionnalities nor swing. What are your thoughts on that ? You may want to raise this question on jdk8-dev instead. cheers, dalibor topic -- Oracle Dalibor Topic | Principal Product Manager Phone: +494089091214 | Mobile: +491737185961 Oracle Java Platform Group ORACLE Deutschland B.V. & Co.
