Unless otherwise indicated as a critical path, I'd *strongly* suggest 
that any fix intended for both 7u and 8 be allowed to AT THE VERY LEAST 
pass a Nightly testing run in 8, before being pushed into 7u.

Just to be cautious, I'd actually say that waiting for a full jdk8 
promotion to occur before pushing into 7u is not unreasonable.
