Hi Steve,
I prefer to see changes take the route through JDK 8 first, in general, and from the linked
bugzilla entry this sounds like a perfect example of something that needs to go through JDK 8,
before it can be backported into a JDK 7 update.
In the comments, you said that you're having trouble getting your OCA submitted - the e-mail
address has changed, it's now oracle-ca_us(at)oracle.com.
