[7u12] Request for approval for CR 7199708: FileChooser crashs when opening large folder

This is a request to backport the JDK 8 fix into JDK 7u12:

7199708: FileChooser crashs when opening large folder

The fix has already been pushed to JDK 8, as:

The code changes for JDK 7u12 are identical to the ones in JDK 8.
