Thanks, Tim, the changes look harmless for OpenJDK, so they are retroactively approved. 

In the future, if you're not backporting identical changes from JDK 8, please make sure to post them for review on build-dev prior to 
requesting approval to push to 7u prior to the actual push, so that if the changes end up being not looking completely harmless, everyone
has a chance to pipe in before they move to the next stage.
