Would it be possible to wait a day or two to see if any issues come from 
the change pushed to jdk8/tl? There is at least one new test failure in 
jdk8/tl (see JDK-8026772) that may be caused by this change. It might be 
just a that a test was missed by the change but I think it would be good 
to be confident that there aren't any issues before back-porting.
