Please review this straightforward backport of the fix for 8051012 to 
JDK-7u.  The fix has already been backported to JDK-9 and JDK-8u.

The 7u backport was tested with JCK lang, vm, api/java_lang, JPRT, and 
hotspot JTReg tests.
