The bugs you file at bugs.java.com will show up at bugs.openjdk.java.net after
some processing.

Once you file a bug at bugs.java.com, you get an incident id, which you can
then use to find the corresponding issue in the OpenJDK bug tracker:
https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JI-9xxxxxxx will redirect to
https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8yyyyyyy once the bug has been processed.

So, no, it's not a black hole. It's more of a worm hole, where you can see
something coming in on one end, and showing up intact on the other.

You'd need to become an OpenJDK developer to be able to edit issues there. If you
don't intend to become an OpenJDK developer, please continue to use the
bugs.java.com web site to submit issues.

In addition, please keep in mind that neither the plugin nor the web start
functionality from Oracle JDK are part of OpenJDK - so you are not likely to
find help for issues concerning such out-of-scope components here.

For community support for Oracle JDK I would instead suggest visiting the
Oracle Java forums at https://community.oracle.com/community/developer/english/java .
