8165807 is an amalgam of the early changesets without bug IDs from
the old ppc7 repository. I guess the remaining changes here are those
that were made between that original version and upstream submission
in 8028471.

Only thing I would change is the copyright change in os_bsd.hpp; going
by 8028471, it should be 2013, not 2017.
