Note that Alan Bateman has already submitted a patch [1] that fixes some 
warnings in java.io. There may be other warnings in java.io, though; I haven't 
checked.

I'd encourage you to look at even a small number of warnings. There is no 
requirement to fix all the warnings in a package or anything like that.
