[8u20] Request for approval for bulk changes from Apr 2014 CPU fixes into 8u20

ha, I wouldn't be going that far Jeff! I did run spot checks on 
Abhijit's changes over past few weeks. His JPRT build & test jobs looked 
good also. Thanks to Abhijit for keeping on top of the sync duties.

Note that the jdk7u changes have been pushed to the 7u60 master forest 
since we have a 7u release in stabilization mode. They'll be sync'ed up 
to the 7u-dev (7u80) forests over the coming days.
